State Requirement:It is the obligation of an operator to profile the waste generated. GAIACA’s services will assist in this State requirement.

GAIACA Service: GAIACA will conduct an initial site inspection to evaluate the operator’s needs and to help address an appropriate waste program. GAIACA will also help the operator profile the waste generated.

Waste Management Plan

State Requirement: It is a requirement of all operators obtaining a state license to submit a waste management plan that clearly illustrates compliant waste handling and disposal procedures per local and state law.

GAIACA Service: After a site evaluation, GAIACA will create a site-specific waste management plan, addressing all applicable local and state laws. This documents can be submitted as part of the cannabis licensing applications.

Certificate of Compliance

Certification of Compliance

State Requirement: If not managed onsite, operators must demonstrate that all waste is properly handled by a cannabis licensed waste service provider.

GAIACA Service: GAIACA is properly licensed to handle all stream of cannabis waste (hazardous and non-hazardous). GAIACA will provide the operator a Certification of Compliance that can be given to the State demonstrating the operator has a compliant waste management program in place.

State Requirement: State requires all cannabis waste to be stored in a secured location, preventing the public from harm.

GAIACA Service: GAIACA will provide secure and lockable drums for cannabis waste accumulation. GAIACA will advise on a secure and appropriate location within the facility in which to store the drums.

State Requirement: All cannabis waste must be properly disposed of. It is the obligation of the operator to mitigate potential sources of odor.

GAIACA Service: GAIACA’s hazmat-rated drums allow operators to easily and safely accumulate waste. All drums are non-reactive and air-tight to help with cannabis odor control.

State Requirement: All cannabis byproduct must be transported with a cannabis distribution license. To remove cannabis byproduct from a licensed cannabis facility, the hauling company must have a cannabis distribution license.

GAIACA Service: GAIACA is a properly licensed cannabis waste management company with State licenses to transport both hazardous and non-hazardous cannabis byproduct.

Waste Manifest

State Requirement: All waste must be track and traced, illustrating that waste has been rendered unusable and unrecognizable and deposited at a licensed compost/landfill facility (cradle to grave record keeping).

GAIACA Service: GAIACA will complete a waste manifest upon the collection of waste. GAIACA’s waste manifest will track the waste from its cradle (operator facility), through the rendering process (GAIACA’s facility), to its final grave (licensed compost/landfill facility). GAIACA will provide the operator with a copy of the manifest as a receipt of waste disposal.
